WHY SHOULD I USE YOU OVER A LARGER RETAILER?

Whilst large retailers may be highly competitive on price we all know the levels of service received can vary. Here at Taylor Kitchen Design we pride ourselves on our service and a more consultative approach. Our consultants work with you from start to finish and see your kitchen as important to them as it is for you.

WHY TAYLOR KITCHEN DESIGN?

We are an independent, non-studio based, kitchen consultant business. We have low overheads enabling us to offer good value and a totally consultative approach in your own home. We bring the samples to you to see in situ and want to work with you throughout the journey to ensure you get the kitchen you want.

DO YOU OFFER SUPPLY ONLY?

CAN YOU REMOVE A WALL?

Whilst I would happily wield a sledgehammer I think the best help I can offer is by recommending the appropriate builders for this work. I work with a number of builders who would complete this work to a high standard and within the supply and fit option I would project manage the building works. I would also assist in pointing you in the right direction regarding the need for surveyors and the involvement of building regulations.

DO YOU SUPPLY GRANITE/QUARTZ WORKTOPS?

Taylor Kitchen Design are able to supply made to measure Granite and Quartz Worktops – please contact us to discuss your requirements.

I WOULD LIKE A GLASS SPLASHBACK. CAN YOU HELP?

Taylor Kitchen Design are able to supply a wide range of made to measure glass splashbacks – please contact us to discuss your requirements.

DO YOU SUPPLY JUST APPLIANCES

I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT! CAN YOU HELP?

We would be happy to talk to you for an initial free 30 minutes to discuss your requirements and provide some initial thoughts – just give us a call.

DO YOU DO KITCHEN REFURBISHMENTS?

Yes we do. We will happily quote for worktop and door changes if requested.

MY STOPCOCK / GAS PIPE ETC ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE. CAN THESE BE MOVED?

These can very often be moved to assist with a design. Where Taylor Kitchen Design are providing the supply and fit we will factor these changes into our pricing and supply the qualified fitters to do the works.

WHAT CABINETS DO YOU USE?

All our cabinets are rigid in form, hinges and drawers are all soft close as standard.

CAN WE USE OUR EXISTING APPLIANCES?

If you wish to use your existing appliances Taylor Kitchen Design will happily incorporate these into your design. Taylor Kitchen Design will give open and honest advice where they think the reuse of existing appliances isn’t recommended.

HOW LONG WILL THE INSTALLATION TAKE?

The installation will usually take around two weeks from start to finish. This will vary depending on the size of the kitchen and the complexities of the install. Sometimes the fitters may need to return to finalise once your flooring is installed etc. We will explain the installation timeline to you.

CAN I USE MY KITCHEN DURING INSTALLATION?

We aim to try and give you a working oven back by the end of the first week wherever possible – we appreciate living on take aways and dining with friends can be challenging! The fitting team will communicate with you throughout the fitting.

DO YOU HAVE A SHOWROOM?

Taylor Kitchen Design offer an in-house service in order to keep overheads low enabling the saving to be reflected in the selling price.

FINANCE & INSURANCE

HOW MUCH WILL A NEW KITCHEN COST?

It is very difficult to give a generic answer to this regularly asked question as there are so many variables. The important thing is to define what you wish to spend on your kitchen and we will work with you to give you the kitchen you desire for that budget.

WHY DOES THE COST OF KITCHENS VARY SO MUCH?

There are so many variables in a kitchen. With the furniture alone there are variances in the thickness and make up of the carcass, the quality of the doors and whether they come flat packed or rigid. The same of worktops – it can vary from a laminate to real wood to granite. Each variant has a change in cost. Taylor Kitchen Design will work with you and all the options to ensure they are within your budget.

WHAT DOES YOUR FITTING PRICE INCLUDE?

If you engage with us for Supply and Fit the cost quoted is inclusive of all the works required. If there is a need to move utilities this will be factored in along with any amendments/adaptations of cabinets. As a result there isn’t a set price for fitting - it depends on each project.

HOW CAN I PAY?

You can pay by direct bank transfer or cheque. Credit Card payments may be available by request.

DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

Taylor Kitchen Design has Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance. All of our recommended fitters are also insured and members of the appropriate professional bodies as required.

HOW MUCH SHOULD WE SPEND?

Ultimately it is up to you and what you can afford. Some kitchen designers talk of the 5-15% rule – the entire remodel should cost no less than 5% of the current value of your home and no more than 15%. This gives an idea of the cost you might be looking to spend.

WHY SHOULD I SHARE MY BUDGET WITH YOU? WILL YOU SPEND ALL MY BUDGET?

Certainly not. Designing a kitchen without any indication of budget leads to dissatisfaction for both you and us. If we are aware of your budget from the start we can guide you regarding the kitchen furniture, appliances etc. and ensure the process is realistic. It is not our intention to spend the budget – that is up to you.

DO I STILL PAY THE DESIGN FEE IF I LATER DECIDE I WANT YOU TO INSTALL & FIT MY KITCHEN?

If you are a design only customer who then decides to use Taylor Kitchen Design for just the supply, or the supply and fit, the design price will be deducted from the total price.

DO YOU OFFER FINANCE?

Taylor Kitchen Design doesn’t offer finance but credit card payments may be available by request.
